7 days in Australia diary

Day 1

My dear friend, Stella!

Finally, I have arrived to Sydney. Actually the trip from Sweden to Sydney wasn’t that bad that I really thought. We changed planes in Istanbul so I could relax in a few hours atleast. But now I’m at the hotel. So I’ve checked in and now I’m relaxing in bed with the air conditioner straight behind me. By the way! It’s so hot in Sydney. Like I’m literally dying. But it’s better than the cloudy Sweden so I shouldn’t complain.

Today I’m not doing anything. I’m just chilling in bed and writing down where I’m going these coming days. It’s going to be fun! I’ve of course planned that I’m going to visit Brisbane and Melbourne because I’ve heard very good things about these places. Then I’m going to see the Opera house, maybe? I have at all times been told to visit the Opera house if I’m going to visit Sydney. So why not? By the way! I hope you’re doing well and please just tell me some good restaurants in Sydney. Stella, I know that you know!! Haha!

Day 2

Hello Stella!

How are you? Well I’m fine. Today I went to a shopping centre called Australia fair shopping mall. I totally loved it. The shopping centre is exactly behind the beach. I bought a few things actually. I really didn’t think that it would happen but I came home with lots of things. A new bikini in a very neon colour and two pair of sandals. They were on sale and I got them both for $8. That’s a very good price for two bikinis. Then I also bought a red lipstick from the brand MAC. I love it so much; I’ll show you it when I’m heading back to Sweden. But now I’m going to buy some doughnuts. Because I’ve heard that they taste amazing in Australia. And you really know my obsession for doughnuts.

Day 3

Hello my dear friend,

Today I finally went to the opera house in Sydney. I literally fell in love with the building. It was so beautiful. I really need to see something in that opera house. Maybe I’ll purchase a ticket for a show maybe? I’ll visit the website later and see what they’re having. But anyways, I went to the restaurant inside the building. I was in heaven when I ate the amazing food. I loved it. The food was just amazing. No words needed.

After the opera house I went to the harbour bridge here in Sydney. The bridge is exactly behind the opera house so why shouldn’t I visit the bridge? The bridge was very beautiful. Specially at the night when the bridge started to light up.

Day 4

Dear Stella!

It’s been a long day without you my friend! It felt like it was one week ago I talked with you. But it was yesterday since I wrote a letter to you. Well! Today I’m going to bungee jump. And you know my fear for heights. But today I’m going to do it. Because why don’t try when you’re having the chance. I just purchased the ticket and it was quite expensive. But I need to meet my fear. I purchased it from a tourist guide and the people that worked at the tourist guide were very sweet and lovely. I’m going to do it with a group so in a few hours they’re going to pick me up at the hotel and some other people at other hotels. So now I’m going to the restaurant named The spice room. Just because I’ve heard a lot of good things about it and I totally love Indian food. And after that I’m going to my hotel room and getting ready for the bungee jump.

Well hello again! Just to keep you updated. So I just went to the bungee jump trip. And I literally have no words to say about it. It was such a good experience. Even if I wanted to die first when I was going to jump it actually felt so good after it. It was like being a bird and very funny at the same time. The people who were helping me were very helpful. And I met some very mindful people from different places all over the world. It was a very good experience!

Day 5

Well hello there, Stella

Sorry for a late respond back but now I’m here. Well today I went to an extremely beautiful national park. I didn’t except that the park would look so amazing but it looked so beautiful. The national park is named kakadu and kakadu is based in Arnhem Land. It was a waterfall and it looked extremely amazing. And the nature. I don’t even know what to say! Incredible. And the best thing was that it was so sunny. I loved when the sun was pointing at me. I love that warm feeling coming towards me. Very nice!

It was free entrance and behind the entrance it was a souvenir shop and I bought a towel with a crocodile on it and in the background it was the beautiful waterfall. I fell for just that towel so I had to buy it. Well now I’m heading back to the hotel and heading out for some more adventure.

Day 6

Hello Stella!

Well today it wasn’t a good day. I got sick and I purchased a ticket for a museum but apparently the tickets were not registered and because of that I couldn’t come in. I talked with them for such a long time and they didn’t believe me. How even??? I’m so mad. I purchased the tickets one week before the visit and now the ticket was fake? Well things like this happen. But now I should stop being angry and move on.

Now I’m going to Starbucks and as you know I’m going to choose the coconut and caramel frapping. And I’m probably going to sit there a while and read my favourite book. The perks of being a wallflower. It will never get old! Well now I’m in the bed at the hotel and are thinking about what I should wear for today. Every time I’m choosing clothes I need to see on the weather app how it will be today. It’s like a new habit that I’ve got! It’s a bit strange I guess? But as I saw it’s 28 degrees out there. Wahhhh I’m completely frying. I should maybe wear a skirt or something? Maybe a skirt and a top. And then I’ll probably not collapse because of the hot weather.

Well now I’m heading off to Starbucks and I’ll write to you tomorrow and it’s my last day in paradise! We will se what I’m going to do then!

Day 7

Hello there!

Well wow... I don’t know what to say. It’s 2 o’clock and since I woke up I’ve packed my bags and everything. And since when does it take this long? I’m literally dead. I’ve realised that I bought a lot of souvenirs here that I’m taking with me. I need to check out in about 3 hours and after that they need to clean up the room so they can give it to the new visitors. So because it’s 3 hours left I can go for a walk and then see if I can find somewhere where I can eat. I don’t have anything to do actually? And after the check out my flight arrives at 7 o’clock so I should maybe go to the airport soon? Well we will see what happens later. I’ll keep you updated haha!

Hello Stella!!

So I did my decision and here I’m! At the airport and waiting for my flight to arrive. I’m sitting here with my sweatpants on and I’ve checked in and I’m sitting here at the terminal 5! So I thought when I was at the hotel that I didn’t have so much time. Because my hotel was 1 hour from the airport. So then one hours was wasted. So I sat at a cafeteria in one hour and fixed some things with my laptop and then I went to the air port after it. So here am I and I now I can check off that I’ve visited Australia! It was such a nice visit but next time I’m coming down here I need to visit it with a friend, maybe. Because that would be way funnier!

Maybe it’s you and me next time? I don’t know haha! But we will see. I’ve only been here for one week but I’ve really missed you and I’m so exited to see you again my friend!
